Water levels are high! It is about 2500 CFS down in Gypsum. Visibility from Rittenhouse down to Duckpond clearly wasn’t that bad, probably 2 to 3 feet of clarity. Not a lot of bugs coming off though. We tried streamers for the first half of our float trip and didn’t turn into too many trout. We decided to try nymphs and used squirmy worms Zurdlers, Micro Leeches, and wooly buggers. We had one fish on a squirmy worm - a nice cut bow. Then we also had a brown on the thin mint woolly bugger. Towards the end of the flow, we saw some blue wings, and some caddis are starting to come off, but nothing really produced on those.
