MICRO POPPER FROG

$2.95

SKU: BAS-11 Category:

Description

The Micro Popper Frog pattern is a smaller version of the larger Bass Poppers we carry. Great for Bass, Panfish and other predatory fish.

Fishing Technique

The primary method for fishing a micro panfish popper involves a slow retrieve with intermittent “pops” and pauses.

  • Cast and Sit: Cast the popper near structure, such as shaded banks or vegetation edges, and let it sit until the ripples from the landing dissipate.
  • Popping Action: Give the rod tip a gentle pop or twitch to make the lure splash or “bloop” on the surface, then let it pause again. Varying the cadence of pops and pauses is recommended to entice a strike.
  • The Strike: Fish often strike during the pause, so it is important not to set the hook until you feel the weight of the fish on the line.
