Description
Stonefly Double Tungsten Bead – a heavy, tactical stonefly nymph for deep water and strong current
The Stonefly Double Tungsten Bead is built to reach the bottom fast. With dual tungsten beads for maximum weight and a realistic stonefly profile, this pattern is perfect for fishing heavy water, deep runs, and fast current. Designed to imitate large golden stonefly nymphs, it’s a must-have for anglers targeting trout holding low in the column.
Design / Features
The Stonefly Double Tungsten Bead features a segmented body, buggy thorax, and biot tail for realistic detail. Its double tungsten bead design gives it exceptional sink rate while keeping a slim, natural silhouette. The fly is tied on a strong hook for durability and superior hook penetration, making it reliable in tough, fast-flowing conditions.
When & Where to Use
The Stonefly Double Tungsten Bead excels in freestones, tailwaters, and big rivers with swift current. It’s ideal as a point fly in Euro-nymphing setups or under an indicator. Especially productive during spring and summer stonefly activity, it’s designed to get down where big trout feed.
