TOP SECRET BLACK

Description

Top Secrets – a subtle, high-performance midge pattern for technical trout waters

The Top Secrets is a confidence midge pattern designed for clear water and selective trout. Its slim profile, natural tones, and subtle flash make it perfect for fooling wary fish in tailwaters and spring creeks. This fly is particularly effective during winter and early spring midge hatches when trout feed almost exclusively on small insects.

Design / Features

The Top Secrets features a simple, slender body with a hint of flash that imitates midge larvae and pupae with deadly accuracy. A sparse wing provides lifelike movement while keeping the fly delicate and lightweight. Tied on a fine-wire hook, it drifts naturally in slow currents, making it ideal for picky trout. The clean design ensures excellent sink rate and presentation, even in technical water.

When & Where to Use

Top Secrets fishing flies shine in tailwaters, spring creeks, and stillwaters with clear flows and selective fish. It’s best fished as a dropper beneath a dry fly, under an indicator, or as part of a Euro-nymphing setup. This is a year-round producer and a must-have for anglers who love technical fishing.
